If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.
So, apparently I am becoming nerdier and nerdier everyday. my status used to be gamer, but my life is slowly turning into an episode of the Big Bang Theory. =/ I pretty much sit around playing video games, watching Star Trek, and attempting to teach my infant son astronomy.
I watched Star Trek (2009) with my two year old this morning since he watches the original series with me all the time (I think he may like Spock more than I do. xD). This is how it played out…
C: Want to watch the newest Star Trek movie with me?
D: *gasp* Yes~!
C: *puts on movie*
D: Trek! Trek!
*Kirk’s father on screen*
D: Dat no Trek! No Trek! Want Trek!
*After some very long minutes of this screaming Spock finally appears on screen*
D: *Gasp* POCK~! Mommy! Pock! Dat Trek, Dat Trek!! *clapping* Yay, Pock!
Every time Spock would enter a scene he got a round of applause my little Trekkie. Whenever someone who was not Spock and had pointy ears he would this confused look on his face and ask “Where Pock?” It made me giggle.
I think I may have doomed my child to a life of nerdiness, possibly even more nerdy than I. Probably more nerdy than I actually, seeing as I only started watch Star trek this year and I am nineteen, he is two and can point out most of the original series characters. I think ‘Doomed’ may be the wrong word… just it depends on the people he surrounds he self with when he is old I guess. =/ Maybe.
On an unrelated topic…Don’t you just love it when the last two Tic-Tacs are stuck side by side in the bottom corner of their little container and you have to somehow shake them lose? Really? I don’t. xP
